Portrun Development Association Litter Pick & Fundraising Night.
Portrun Development Association will be holding a major litter pick in the Portrunny area and approach roads on Saturday morning 25th March 2017 as part of the National Spring Clean-up 2017. Residents are invited to meet at the playground at 10am. It is expected that the litter pick will take two hours.
Last year this initiative resulted in a massive turn out of local residents who gave up two hours of their time which made a great difference to our area. We are hoping to repeat this again and litter picks, gloves, high- visibility vests will be provided. If you are available please come along and lend a hand.
On Saturday night the 01st April 2017 we are holding a fundraiser night at Paddy Finns Bar, this is following on from the success of last year’s fundraiser. The money raised will go to the ongoing costs of the association such as insurance, tools, equipment, flowers etc.
On the Fundraising Night we will be officially launching our new website – www.portrun.ie , this website promises to be an archive of our folklore, heritage and all Portrun has to offer.
Derek Campbell will be entertaining us on the night and refreshments will be served.
