Portruny Heritage Trail Launch

You are cordially invited to the launch of Portrunny Heritage Trail which will take place at the Portrunny Bay amenity on Saturday 13th October 2018 at 3.00pm. Minister for Communications, Climate Action and Environment, Denis Naughton will be joining us along the shoreline to perform the official launch.
Portrunny Heritage Trail interpretative signage was installed across nine sites earlier this year. This trail was established by Portrun Development Association in an effort to mark not only the local heritage sites but also improve the experience of visitors to the area.
The Portrunny Heritage Trail was funded under the Towns & Villages Renewal Scheme, Waterways Ireland – Heritage Grant, Inland Fisheries Ireland – National Strategy for Angling Development and Roscommon County Council – Community Facilities Scheme. There was also a cash contribution from Portrun Development Association.
